AR-10 rifles have been around in one form or another for more than 60 years.The advantage the 20" has is a rifle gas system. 16" will do 1k with the right ammo and in the right conditions, but it is definitely at a disadvantage to the 20". Both of those are pretty short barrels. Would really use the ruger SFAR for long range but the 16” with the PA 3x prism is amazing.
